Bill Starr and Fencing Center of Chicago RYC/RJCCs: April

Check it out: A lot of our fencers got their names printed on the back of their lamés at these two events!

We attended not one, but two regionals last month: the Bill Starr RYC/RJCC here in St. Louis (April 13-14), and Fencing Center of Chicago WYC/RJCC in Niles, IL (April 20-21).

First Time Regional Competitors

We had a bunch of new regional competitors at these events:

• Jamieson R., Y14 and Y12 Men’s Saber (Fencing Center of Chicago)

Everyone took a great first step into regional competition with some of the competitors even medaling in their events.

Fencer Shoutouts

Lucy F. used her voice during some of her bouts at the Bill Starr!

Eli L. qualified for Summer Nationals based on his excellent result at his first regional event.

After he was out of the Y12 event, Jamieson R. was a great teammate to Gregory S. in Chicago; similarly, Gregory S. cheered on Eli L. at the St. Louis event.

The camaraderie between Lillian S., Lucy F., and Audrey I. was super fun to see in the Y14 event at the Bill Starr.
